Cold Dry Ice
On Wednesday afternoon we went into Room 8's shared space to look at some dry ice that a parent had bought into school for us to look at and do some experiments.
The dry ice was stored in a special chilly bin that kept it very cold and frozen. The ice looked like small rectangular blocks and they were very white and solid.
We had a glass bowl which we put some dry ice into.
We added some water and then we watched it make steam that flowed out of the bowl and across the table.
After this we added some washing up liquid and watched it bubble up.
" I liked when the dry ice blew up like a volcano erupting. I wonder why the ice made steam that looked like it was hot but it was freezing, " said Beata
